First off..before you ever think of conposing lyrics.. You should have an idea of what you want to write.. It should not necessarily be a complete idea but you should atleast have an overview of what you want to say. More ideas will come as you write...
Also you have to know that your first lyrics may not be that much impressive... Being a lyricist ,like any other work, needs practice so you should spend most of yojr time writting... Even if you write bullshit it just means you are getting out of your head and you are paving the way for clearer and more logical lyrics... In short, Rome was not built in one day u know? However, with practice you learn the challenges and methods that best work for you..
